{UAH} Uhuru flounts own austerity measures - It's do as I say, stupid!

President Uhuru is hosting his cabinet at the luxury Mt. Kenya Safari Club in Nanyuki.

 

The hotel is among high-cost facilities that Treasury Secretary, Henry Rotich had blacked out as venues for government functions.

 

For starters, transporting the president and his retinue, his deputy and his entourage, then ministers and their support staff, doesn not come on the cheap ticket.

 

Yet, Nairobi is home to several venues that are within government control: Kenya Institute of Administration in Lower Kabete, or Kenya Science College in Karen, and even Kenyatta International Conference Center.

 

But, it seems President Uhuru also operates on "Do as I say, not as I do" mentality.
