Prime Minister, Amama Mbabazi, has said that harboring presidential ambitions is not a crime in Uganda.
Addressing a weekly news conference at his office in Kampala, Mbabazi said, "There is nothing morally or legally wrong with harboring Presidential ambitions in Uganda. If I want to run for President, I will say so. The rumour going rounds are falsehoods."
The Prime Minister said he enjoys good working relations with the President refuting allegations that the two had fallen out.
"We are in agreement on everything. I do not know of any difference between the President and myself," Mbabazi said.
Commenting on reports that Police wanted to arrest his wife Jacqueline over leaked recordings, the Premier said, " "I have no idea that my wife has been meeting with the IGP, I am yet to hear that recording."
