{UAH} George Okello//Prof. Opio eulogised - more info please
George;
This brief obit starts promisingly; we are led to expect insightful profile of this professors, especially how he shaped the economic policy of the nation. Unfortunately, the reporter does not expound on that intro!
What do you know about this professor, who, we are learning, hailed from your neck of the woods. With a village called Agwata, I expect a few calabashes / gourds at his funeral service!

The deceased Vice Chancellor of All Saints University Lango, Prof Fred Opio Ekong, has been praised for shaping the economic policy of the nation.
The minister for Northern Uganda, Ms Rebecca Amuge Otengo, described Prof Opio's death as a big blow to the country.
"He is a nationalist who volunteered to work for All Saints University under the Anglican Church yet he is a Catholic," Ms Amuge said.
The professor died on Tuesday after spending one month in coma following an accident in Mpigi on February 25.
Prof Opio is known for pioneering the Northern Uganda Social Action Fund (NUSAF) programme.
His burial is scheduled for Monday, April 7 at his home in Agwata, Dokolo District.
