Statement by the Prime Minister of Canada on the results of the Ontario Election

Prime Minister Stephen Harper today issued the following statement on the results of the provincial election in Ontario:

“On June 12, 2014, the people of Ontario gave Kathleen Wynne a mandate to continue to serve as their Premier.

“On behalf of the Government of Canada, I would like to congratulate Premier Kathleen Wynne and her team on their election victory.

“I look forward to working with Premier Wynne on issues of importance to Ontarians and all Canadians, including promoting jobs, growth and long-term prosperity.”
