Incarcerated Self-acclaimed Serial Killer Issues a Dossier from Luzira, Pinning Top City Tycoon in a Murder Case He is facing

Shocking details from Luzira Upper Prison are of a revelation, of an inmate who levels strong allegations that one of the murder cases he is facing was masterminded and fully funded by a top city tycoon, Investigator exclusively writes.

Robert Ssempebwa aka Robert Kazahura, a prime suspect in over ten murders and aggravated robbery charges, issued the one-page handwritten missive a fortnight ago, alleging how a city tycoon hired him to put an instant full stop on the life of Steven Ashaba, a businessman and hitherto, manager with popular Movit Company.

He alleges that he opted to reveal the details, simply because his 'boss' turned against their agreement of him concealing and owning the case as the tycoon caters for the welfare of his family. "I have nothing to hide anymore. He turned against our agreement. I am already incarcerated and my family is yawning when he is having sound sleep nights," noted Kazahura in a dossier written for him by an inmate.

The Story

It is a tale of a hitherto energetic, successful businessman and manager, Ashaba who, on May 21st 2010, normally left his home for work, never to come back. A fortnight-long search led to his rotting body in a thicket of Kasanje village, Ssisa Sub County in Wakiso District.

On the fateful day, his wife Rose had reported him as missing since it wasn't his routine to spend a night away without announcement.  Annoyingly, his suspected killers, Kazahura and the tycoon, heavily engaged in the search of the body.

Kazahura shockingly reveals that on that evening, Ashaba, whom he had intentionally made a 'friend' for the killer mission, received a call summoning him at one of the tycoon's friend's Hotel premised in Lubaga. Here, he found Kazahura seated in a Corona vehicle and joined him; little knowing it was no-longer a friend. It was now that Kazahura's mission was to be implemented.

Someone in the back seat threw a rope around his neck and within no time, silently strangled him. The Hotel proprietor reportedly called the tycoon for his location and, Kazahura reportedly took the body for viewing, confirmation and ritual practices before he drove it to Wakiso thicket.

Kazahura, whom our pries met at Nakawa Court on Tuesday in a bid to confirm the authenticity of his un-addressed letter, confirmed sending it to the media. Whereas he has many murder cases to his name and ready to face all, he seeks to forego Ashaba's and wants to turn into a state witness against the tycoon whom, he also revealed was initially detained for two days before he (Kazahura) offered to carry his cross as hinted above.

Why Now?

Like reported above, Kazahura faults the tycoon for abusing their 'agreement' and hence the turn of events. Our investigations have gathered that the letter was sent through a human rights activist with a view of having it published in the media. However, the carrier met strong resistance with the management of the first media house he approached.

"The tycoon seems heavily connected and untouchable. We therefore want to file a formal case with Court and police," the activist said on bringing the letter to the Investigator close to a fortnight ago. We promised to make our own investigation, a mission we have dedicated the time it required and here, we start the series of the same.

Tycoon Speaks Out

Upon receiving the letter and making a few verifications, it was vital to engage the accused first. Contacted, the tycoon straight away acknowledged knowledge of Kazahura, resisting from explaining how he came to know the self-confessed serial killer. "Yes I know him and some of the people he was arrested with and later released," he offered.

On the allegations shot against him, the brownish, semi-stout moneybags, vividly fighting his body language betrayal and shifting in his seat, cleared his voice and said; "Those are possibly bafere who were with Kazahura in prison and want to blackmail me. This is a case even the IGP (Inspector General of Police, Gen. Kale Kayihura) knows about and as we talk now, I am seeking an appointment with the President over the same. It is not true."

Not done, he offered to engage lawyers, to find out from Luzira Prisons, whether it was Kazahura who, actually authored the dossier. Indeed, the legal minds travelled to the University of Understanding and the authorities 'disowned' the stamp on the missive, adding Kazahura hardly knows a single word of English.

However, at Nakawa Court, Kazahura insisted he authored the letter. Furthermore, Luzira sources confided that such a letter could not go through the normal process as they (letters) are heavily screened. The sworn killer challenged us to go through the normal channels and secure an interview with him, a suggestion we are half-way into implementation.

Who is Kazahura?

A slender, short, light-skinned, Robert Ssempebwa aka Kazahura came to light in late 2010 after police arrested him on several car robberies and murders. At the time, he confessed to killing several people and dealing with big-name figure, wrong security elements inclusive. He owned a gang of giant hit-men.

Due to confessions by him and his accomplices, most of his victims were killed using painful but noiseless methods such as strangling, hitting the head with a hammer and or strategic stabbing. At least 10 victims were at the time identified and all were killed using the same methods. He used to    distribute roles to gang members so that different individuals are responsible for luring the victim, killing, disposing off the bodies and selling the loot, mostly cars.

Claiming to have once been a soldier with Rwandan army, Kazahura spent most of his time downtown where, he disguised as a phones dealer. Those near him at the time said he used to move with two guns and with good relations with police. "He would even arrest criminals and hand them over to police," one of his mild friends told the media upon his arrest…
