You may have seen the official Govt clarification about the anti gay law early this week, then you may have wondered why Chris Mubiru´s trial was held behind closed doors. The thing is,When Mubiru ran to UK after the leaked homo sex tapes late last year,he was granted asylum there. With pressure from gay rights activists, the process went fast and before the end of last year,he was given a British passport. After getting a red passport,With political influence from British sympathizers,
Mubiru was advised to go back home with assured backup. The trick worked for him. When he was finally arrested on arrival,The British govt came in to rescue its citizen,He was immediately granted bail. Meanwhile,in his deffence, Mubiru says all the men he slept with were of consent age and he never raped any of them. He says he has been paying towards their education and a few of them were male prostitutes paid for sex. Mubiru who owns land where part of Bombo millitary barracks sits, has also used this influence to put govt on pressure lest they leave his land. About why he filmed the sexual acts,he says he is one guy who fancies looking at himself after sexual encounters. He loves it. As things stand now, basing on Govt´s earlier clarification,(which is rumored to have been twisted in respect to this case)Mubiru´s only crime would be seducing underage children into sex but once this is cleared like he claimed they were all adults, then he has no case to answer.
