My view on the expulsion of Amama Mbabazi 

Ever since the untimely proposal from the baby politician Everlyn that Gen.Museveni be the sole candidate come 2016 presidential elections casualities were expected in the due course. As one may recall the Kyankwanzi circus which resulted into a political bomb blast that brought injuries to one of the most dedicated politicians of our time the reactions were quite expected.  In the aftermath of this blast it was more than clear than Amama Mbabazi days as  Gen.Museveni's Prime minister were numbered. That Museveni chooses to remove Mbabazi uncelemoniasly is a humiliation to a man whose active role in Uganda politics dates back in the NUSU days at Makerere where he was a student of the time. This son of the soil from Kinkinzi has a home support  unlike many in NRM hierarchy. This removal of Mbabazi may also see the beginning of purge of his supporters in and outside NRM. After Gen.Sejusa exit I doubt whether this latest gamble by Gen. Museveni will not create disaster in NRM.
