Lord Mayor Eria Lukwago has dropped Sulaiman Kidandala as his deputy over his 'intolerable behaviour'.
Mr Lukwago on Friday said he has been patient with Mr Kidndala since his secret meeting with the Inspector General of Police Kale Kayihura in April this year.
"I have been extremely magnanimous to the behaviours of my brother Kidandala since he met Kayihura. I have been patient but I feel I have been pushed to the wall. I'm painfully left with no choice but to withdraw his name from the list I had submitted for his appointment as Deputy Lord Mayor," said Mr Lukwago in a presser called by the opposition leaders to explain how the city has gone into the hands of mafias.

Mr Lukwago further explained that he will submit to the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) another name for his deputy in the next authority meeting.
"But there is a chance left for him if he reforms. I am convinced about this decision and I have thought about it well for a long time," Lukwago added.
Others who attended the presser were former FDC leader Kizza Besigye, Mathias Mpuuga, Munyagwa, Ssumujjub Nganda. Asuman Basalirwa.
Mr Lukwago's relationship with Mr Kidandala went sour after tape recordings of a secret meeting between him (Kidandala) and Mr Kayihura leaked.
In early April Mr Lukwago, who was the subject of the discussion recorded on the tapes, summoned Mr Kidandala to explain why he secretly met Gen Kayihura.
