Uganda's public health system one of the best in Africa. The quote below is of a Ugandan medic that had been availing her services in the Ebola infested areas
we might have some brilliant physicians but we certainly do not have a functional health system so I really wonder how ours can be one of the best in Africa, unless they are indirectly saying Africa almost has none at all.Why do Africans find pleasure in celebrating mediocrity? From what i see with my naked eyes, there's nothing to toast to.
We have some experience with Ebola, very true....but we have no functional health systems here when even in the national referral hospital we still have patients dumped on floors, other hospitals often have no drug stock and physicians - Ugandans as people are brilliant across several fields and in this case we were ahead of Sierra Leone, but we certainly cannot have one of the best health systems in Africa.I've had "basubuzi" who take pineapples to Juba claiming Kampala must be the best city in Africa simply because they've never been anywhere else... comparing Kampala to Nimule, Yei, Juba, Pajoba etc.
