{UAH} US Senate says CIA torture tactics didn't work

Folks;

The US Senate Intelligence Committee has released a voluminous report about its investigation on CIA torture tactics employed against Al Queada suspects.

The short of it all;

1) The tactics did not yield any useful information that could have been used to thwart terror plots
2) The whole torture program went farther than the CIA had previously admitted.

Predictability, most GOP leaders are alarmed at the release of the report, fearing possible retaliation overseas. But, as unpredictable as he is often portrayed, Sen. John McCain, himself a former POW who suffered "enhanced interrogation" at the hands of his Vietnamese captors, strongly defended the release of the report.

While no one can say with certain how the world will treat this report, I think it's important for the US to be open about this dark period of its misguided, revenge war against Muslims. This report further exposes America's hypocrisy when it comes to the rule of law and human rights.
