The 17-year-old boy who was caught having sex with a 50-year-old woman in church says he was beaten up by Deeper Life Church youth members after being caught with the drunk woman while waking her up.

He however alleges that he was only accompanying the woman to the toilet.

"I was heavily assaulted by Deeper Life Church members. They accused me of having sex with the woman. This annoyed me as I told them that I was only accompanying the woman and did not do anything with her, but my explanation fell on deaf ears. They assaulted me with fists and open hands," claimed the boy.

"I found her with her underwear down. I then walked away with her. She entered the toilet, and I later followed her, just to wake her up," said the boy.

Deeper Life Church Pastor Njabulo Masilela has confirmed that the alleged sex scandal at his church has been reported to the elders of the church.

"We have received information from church members and community members that a boy has been beaten by angry church members after he was found having sex with a woman inside the church. We have reported the matter to the seniors of the church, who are dealing with the matter," said Masilela.

Masilela has descried the actions of the woman and the boy as 'opportunistic' actions and questioned why they would go to the house of the Lord to have sex.

"These are just opportunists. We shall beef up our security to avoid this bad situation in the near future," said Masilela.
