{UAH} Buganda Kingdom: Net Exporter of Hard Wood and Timber products 25 yrs – EVICT BIDCO out of SSESE INLANDS
Saw dust can be used to make cardboards, paper, doors and hard wood can be used to make furniture, building material etc. Wood products are far much safer than plastic which are carcinogenic.
Forest Industry is one of the traditional biggest industries that brings in millions of dollars and can employ thousands of people - in its multi sectoral industry.
Wood and timber of this type is becoming scarce due to man's reckless decimation of natural forests as BIDCO and NRM did in Ssese Islands.
Malasayian firms are already cutting down trees in the Brazilian Amazon yet import of furniture from Malaysia is only rising
In only twenty five years from now, Buganda Kingdom could become a net exporter of hard wood and timber products if all central region forests are left to regenerate. This can be in addition to appended research, bio diversity, tourism, ecological resources and technological development from Buganda's natural forest industry
All residential houses in North America and a good part of European countries are built from wood. Japan consumes million of dollars of wood and timber material.
By getting rid of BIDCO from Kalangala and Buvuma islands - miles and miles of land could be allowed to regenerate into hardwood timber that could be strictly grown in a systematic way to benefit Baganda in creation of jobs for themselves and Buganda Kingdom.
In addition Bunyoro will benefit from production of oil products from growing oil seeds as I earlier wrote.
Ugandans should also note that Ssese Islands lies on the Inter Tropical convergence zone an extension Uturi forest of DRC and Central Africa. These forests are very vital in climatic - vegetation zones formation of Uganda in the north - destroy those forests you start extending Sudanic deserts south wards.
Indeed from Luwero into Buruli region up to Bunyoro Kingdom and Acoli climatic and vegetation zones, are being affected because of extensive destruction of forest in Buganda and Kigezi regions- this has to stop immediately.
This must have contributed to low waters in Lake Victoria as the water from Kigezi forest dried up totally!
