Basic Function To design, develop and evaluate a grass growth model and integrate with a grass intake, grass quality and grazing management decisions support tool. Duties & Responsibilities specific to this project: •Develop and evaluate a model for grass growth and quality and integrate within grass intake, grazing management and milk production models for grass based milk production systems in association with the project team within the available time and financial resources •Collaborate with the project and other research staff Person Specification Essential PhD in development/modelling biological systems Relevant research experience not to exceed 3 years' post-PhD Desirable •Experience in modelling grass growth •Experience in computer programming Further Information for Candidates Candidates can access a Fellowship Programme Application form for this post on the Teagasc website at http://www.teagasc.ie/opportunities/postdoctoral/index.asp Teagasc do not accept Curriculum Vitae's as an application for a position.
