{UAH} OUR CONDOLENCES TO BOTH DR.KASHAMBUZI AND BANDALLI FAMILY
Friends:
News of the passing away of the late Reverend/Canon Samwiri Kashambuzi, father to one of the UAH members,Dr. Eric Kashambuzi, has been received with much sorrow in Uganda. My understanding is that he was a very good man who got on with almost everyone regardless of their religious background. May his soul rest in eternal peace. If one of us in pain, we should all be feeling the pain together. So, let us all take a moment to pray for late Samwiri's family and the late. They should know that they aren't feeling this pain alone. We are with them in this challenging time.
I wish also to use this opportunity to send our condolences to the family of Vazier Hon Sheralli Bandalli Jaffer, MP, Uganda People's Party, in Vancouver, Canada, father of Senator for British Columbia Hon Mobina Jaffer. Vazier Sheralli was a Member of Parliament for the Uganda People's Congress in the immediate post-independence government. He was among the closest friends of my grandfather, Hajji Hassan Kibirige, and very close to the Kasule family in Wandegeya. He held several high positions in the Ismailia jamat of Uganda, perhaps none so than as Hon Secretary of the Uganda Provincial Council at the time of the present Imam's takhtnashini (coronation). He served even more the Muslim ummaa as the Hon Secretary of the East African Muslim Welfare Society in the construction of the Kibuli and Wandegeya mosques and in the building of several schools for the ummaa. May Allah grant him the choicest place in paradise and his family the fortitude to overcome this loss.
