{UAH} Hon. Karooro Okurut; Occupational Safety and Health Act 2006
Wonderful Hon. Mary Karooro Okurut - this is over due and Uganda for once need to observe international standards of ; work place, buildings, hygiene some schools, hospitals, government offices are so teribly dilapidated etc imagine that Hilton loose its occupation since the hotel is being occupied in an unfinished state.

Under the Occupational Safety and Health Act 2006, the ministry is mandated to ensure safety of premises and the work environment for workers, with a thorough a checklist looking out for requirements such as a written safety and health policy, chemical safety, risk assessment and management plan, rumps for people with disabilities, fire response mechanisms and first aid kits.
Under section 69-82 of the act, companies are required to pay a fee for examination of statutory plants and equipment that encompasses tower cranes, lifting chains, shackles, overhead cranes, gas and air receivers.
