"I will fuckin' kill you, you black bitch", Wits University student told

By This Is Africa on March 5, 2015 — A fourth year student at Wits University spoke to the school's newspaper about an incident in a law class, which escalated into a shocking display of racial hatred from two white classmates

A fourth year law student at South Africa's Wits University reported an incident in which a classmate verbally abused her during an Intellectual Property lecture on Monday morning. Sinethemba Memela told the University paper (Wits Vuvuzela) that the student in question said: "I will fuckin' kill you, you black bitch," after Memela confronted the accused and another student about mocking the lecturer's accent during class.

Memela was also called an "unnecessary black bitch" for calling out two students for being bullies, and  had one of her breasts pinched when the confrontation escalated. Memela filed an assault case with Campus Control. "After the matter is fully investigated it will be forwarded to the Legal Office to consider taking an appropriate action against the student accused," said Michael Mahada who is the Investigations Manager.
