{UAH} Of folks quitting their top posts in our major Political Partys
Of folks who have quit their top Political Party positions before the 2016 elections: we keep wondering why they picked such a fine time to abandon this quasi democratic process-hopeless as it may seem -given all the experience they bring to the table and indeed the political fall out from the charge of "breach of people's trust "being levied against them.
We have all been left speculating what might have caused this massive abandonment of our democratic process from top leadership of the two major political Partys. Many Ugandans are not buying into the given psychological excuses -which pale in comparison to what is at stake for the nation of Uganda and its pursuit of democracy.
What is clearly visible was lack of progress on the voter front -even with all the other structural and psychological issues being hurled around. I like to give a man a hoe and at the end of the day see some progress in the field -the president fairly or unfairly is making marked progress on the terrain-while these other fellows are folding over with virtual psychological issues!
"Bricks and mortal issues babe" - that is what builds a Party-President Obote was great at it with his NUYO movement and Museven learnt from him and he is running like a marathoner.
We need that type of charisma in the opposition -this is not a diplomatic post or a beauty contest -you have to be rallying and building momentum at all times - and you have got to have alligator skin very few aspiring African leaders seem to have it today.
