{UAH} The Kenya-Garissa Tragedy
I join other well-meaning people today in condemning the dastardly acts of Al Shahab terrorists and share the grief and sorrow of the Kenyans and the human race. My heart goes out to the family and friends of the victims of this despicable tragedy.
I hope that the law enforcement authorities helped by the civilized society will soon identity the perpetrators behind that contemptible act so that they can face the full force of the law.
I also pray that we can maintain our sanity in the face of evil and do not go after each other in retaliation as the authorities work to identify and bring those responsible to book. The fact that this reprehensible act was carried out on one of the holiest day of the Christian faith is not lost to many. I appeal to my fellow Christians not to fall into the trap of these goons who are hijacking Islam. They are carrying out these cowardly acts in the hope that we will also respond in a similar barbaric way. The law and long hand of our God will find them.
Today is the day our Lord sacrificed himself so that peace can dwell on earth, the unbelievers are trying to make our Lord's mission fail. We cannot show our hand in their netherworld activities. We will leave them to the law of nature and God!
At this moment of confusion, uncertainty and naturally highly charged emotions, we must look at our Lord and be guided by the principals of our faith. Let the response of our nation be mature and thoughtful. Let the defense forces and the police play their role. This is a moment of prayer and unity not of hasty reaction.
We pray to God to give strength to all of those who have suffered during this catastrophe
