{UAH} YOU KNOW LAWYER LABANGJOONI CAME HURTLING IN AT GULU HIGH COURT!!!!

Gook, Like I was saying, unscrupulous lawyer reign at Gulu High Court. At least they do when it come to land or property conflicts.

Last week, the Gulu cOURT pRINCIPAL Magistrate addressed Acoli leaders. He appealed to them to work overtime to expose corruption within the legal system.

Yes he was / is right.

I had a rough experience about two months back at the same Court.

We waited over two hours for the fraudists to appear but neither they nor their lawyer showed up. Instead, they sent another lawyer to come and talk to us and may be fix another date.

The lawyer Labangjooni came hurtling in the hall two hours too late with no paper, book, file.........., not even a penin his hand!!!!!

Without shame, when he recognised our lawyer with whom they studied back in the days, he immediately started talking about the social live at the school back in the days!!!!!!

When our lawyer asked him if he knew about the case, he responded that he did not. And he had not even seen the file!!!!

Then he was asked the phone number of who sent him. He said he did not know the number. He had it on the mobile phone which he had left in his car.

Asked if he could go pick it he said, he had parked too far from the court area!!!!!

Asked where the actual lawyer was, he said the lawyer was one James (Wana or so) representing a law firm at Ntinda but has travelled to Apac!!!!

...........On and on he babbled.

Any way, the Magistrate endorsed that they were liable for costs incured.

So, now I have been around for two months and the next attempt for mediation is next week!!!!

Hope they show up this time.
