I chanced on this piece on Semuwamba's UAH Facebook and thought you
may find it interesting. As I have said before, Kayibanda's motto is
that everybody has a price. I hope Abbey will buy me a dinner at
Michael Meme's AFAB Star Restuarant in Deptford, next time I am in
London. He has to share some of the largesse with us, even if it is
only crumbs.

SINGER BEBE Cool has been paid a whopping shs100 million by President
Yoweri Museveni ahead of next year's general elections.
Bebe was handed the money (in cash) last week on Tuesday (28th July)
at State House Entebbe. He is expected to be part of the president's
campaign team, and actually kicked off work this week on Tuesday with
a performance in Ntugamo, a district in western Uganda.
He will also be performing at selected NRM activities.Other musicians
that include King Mi...chael, Dr. Jose Chameleone, Moze Radio and
Weasel are expected to be paid pretty soon.
Museveni has also hired over 200 youths to become members of the most
populous groups on Facebook, particularly Ugandan At heart, to mainly
discredit Amama Mbabazi and other opposition candidates. UAH used to
be dominated by the opposition but most of the messages these days are
pro-NRM. It's not known whether the UAH founder, Abbey Semuwemba, is
also part of this Museveni scheme. But each contributor is allegedly
paid over shs.300,000 per week just for being active on Facebook.
