Job Summary:
Undertake patient assessments on hospital sites and provide acute
nursing care to patients in their own homes
The role includes evening and weekend shifts and participation in the
on-call rota

Requirements
Essential
Desirable
Education & Qualifications
R.G.N. 1st Level
Evidence of continuing professional development
ENB 998/ C&G 730 or equivalent.
ENB community course and/ or equivalent experience.
Knowledge &
Experience
Current experience with IV treatment/therapy
Current experience with venepuncture
Experience of working on own
Ability to communicate well, verbally and in writing
Ability to work well as part of the team and be flexible
Previous community care experience and experience in an acute care
environment. (ITU, A&E, etc.)
Current experience with cannulation
Wound care and associated products experience.
Experience of vac pumps
PICC/Hickman line administration and care
Stoma care
Male catheterisation
Anti coagulation therapy
Care of diabetic patients
Care of blood transfusion patients
Skills &
Abilities
Ability to demonstrate own initiative thinking
Flexibility
Able to cope with ambiguity
Excellent communication
/interpersonal skills
Time management Skills
Personal
Experience
Able to work independently and carry out assigned tasks in a changing
demanding environment
Previous experience at managing your own case load independently

Full UK driving license
