After the scuffle that marked former Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi's consultative meetings in eastern Uganda on Wednesday, Opposition Forum for Democratic Change election flag bearer Col Kiiza Bsigye has taken time to welcome him to the world of police violence.

"As I am being nominated here today, the Hon. Amama Mbabazi has just been baptized with teargas in Soroti. Soroti is colored pink as we talk, from the water cannons of police and is fuming with tear gas," Besigye noted after returning nomination forms to The Democratic Alliance in Kololo.

"Welcome to the fight, the honorable Amama Mbabazi, 'Karibu Kabisa'; he is now being initiated into what it means to say no Mr. Museveni."

Besigye pointed out that the crime presenters, Kakooza Mutale militia groups and the army jets used in Soroti would not deter them from championing the need for change in the country."But whatever they assemble, no amount of arsenal, no amount of armory will scare the people of Uganda from taking back their power."
