{UAH} UFA SHOULD IGNORE 2016 ELECTION!

Members;

UFA should not be afraid or shamed by denouncing the forthcoming elections (2016) or even pulling out of TDA, because the party's long term agenda is not about winning elections but changing a system not through the ballot but, by educating the conscience of the nation; freeing the mind of the citizens from captivity by both individual and system. Replacing subservience with empowerment; and imprisonment with freedom. And so it is right that Betty Kamya should abandon the presidential bid and go for the parliamentary one which will bring her closer to the people.

The entailment of freedom to converse with one another on matters of national importance, in my opinion, is the greatest barrier to change the country for the better and this is the battle front which the UFA party and the opposition should be concentrating on.  Participating in the elections is giving credence to a regime that is failed the country, to a system that has failed to deliver in the last fifty years and to acquiesce to oppression and limited rights.

A Free Uganda will not need elections to contrast a failed system from one capable of delivering. Their present circumstance will be evidence enough to persuade them that they deserve better, and that running a country requires collective effort beginning from the grassroots. These are the truth that the current system and regime does not want exposed or brought to the attention of the wanaichi. No amount of election will empower people to think differently if the right to contrast and right from wrong is denied.

The forth coming elections will simply endorse and perpetuate the status quo and must be ignored. More effort be placed at the real front line, in order to free space for evidence based, national conversation.
