SV: {UAH} LADUMA CHECK THIS DEVELOPMENT!!

AKIM,
PERHAPS YOU ARE NOT CAPABLE OF OBSERVING IT FROM YOUR VANTAGE POINT SINCE YOU YOURSELF IS A PROBLEM.

YOU MIGHT NEVER SOLVE IT UNTIL YOU BEGIN FROM YOUR OWN SELF.

Laduma;

It has nothing to do with you but your attitude that all is rosy in Uganda and that development is on the up. We Ugandans are saying it is not the case. Even teachers are downing tools to go boda boda riding. Since when has a boda boda been better than a teacher anywhere? Only in Uganda where their service is not valued.
To suggest that that is not Ladumas making or President Musevenis, for that matter is crazy and crass. Its the making of both Laduma the denier and the president, the incompetent. The sooner we see his back the better!

Like all part of Uganda, Acholi is also facing the same inertia with the added problem of the aftermath of war. All that is taking place is private initiative and donor money. The government has simply folded its arm and the only time its stretches the arm it's only to grab that belongs to the people.

Some development for real!

Mr Akim,
I do not see the significance. How has that got to do with Laduma and why?

At the time I was in Uganda earlier this year, teachers union called for a strike. Guess what, some teachers defied the call and went to work as usual
even if their particular schools were included.
I am aware there is a lot of organisational problems with the teachers Unions and welfare.

Why should it be problematical to call it like it is? "..."The worst mistake the President made was to say oil palm growers are earning more than us. Such a demoralising statement shouldn't have been made by the President," Mr Ssenyonjo said......."

Both Palm growers and teachers unions chater for their members. If their Unions or organisations are dysfunctional, that is not Ladumas making
or President Musevenis, for that matter.

THEY HAVE TO ORGANISE THEMSELVES!!!!

I was hoping you would be telling us about someongoing dialogue process about the teachers salaries.

They are teachers. They are supposed to know which button to press. So, what would it have sounded like if the President said "TEACHERS GET MORE MONEY THAT PALM GROWERS"?

Kalangala. Teachers in Kalangala District have threatened to abandon their profession and venture into oil palm growing.
According to Mr Sulaiman Ssenyonjo, the chairperson Uganda National Teachers' Union, Kalangala Branch, their plan is informed by President Museveni's assertion that oil palm growers in the district are better off compared to teachers.
"The worst mistake the President made was to say oil palm growers are earning more than us. Such a demoralising statement shouldn't have been made by the President," Mr Ssenyonjo said.
What the president said
While speaking to residents of Kalangala at Kibanga Primary School play ground on September 6, Mr Museveni said oil palm had become a lucrative business on the island and wondered why teachers don't embrace it to supplement their salaries.
However, the district chairperson, Willy Lugoloobi, said the President made the statement in good faith and urged teachers to embrace oil palm growing as a supplementary income generating activity.
This comes after six primary school teachers in the district resigned their jobs to ride boda bodas.
