{UAH} Burkina Faso's revolutionary leader assassinated
On this day in 1987, Thomas Sankara, the revolutionary leader of Burkina Faso, was assassinated by his own men. Handsome and unpretentious, he wanted to give his country dignity and hope. But his country "proved ungrateful", wrote The Economist at the time
