{UAH} ALLIANCE IS A SLAP TO BUGANDA'S SACRIFICE!!.

People;;

The UPC/NRM alliance, is a slap in the face of Buganda. For a region that hated everything Obote due to the historical events and sacrificed all to kick Obote and government were it hurts, should be seeing stars that yet again, UPC is emerging from the fog despite the historical sacrifice.  Talking of historical throw backs, one could also be right to suggest that by allying with NRM, Akena is getting back at Otunnu for historical reasons; that Otunnu and co deposed his father. These historical resurrection and alliance, reveals the deep seated angst that spells trouble for Uganda in the future.

Mu7's with his deep fear and distrust of Buganda is a throw back to the pre and post muncanganyiko that saw UPC throw cold water on Buganda's heated ambition for federalism. This fear is unfounded and worse still misplaced partly, because of ignorance on the part of Ugandan's ruling elite, and mis-projection and interpretation of the federal system by Buganda. The alliance also shows that Buganda's loathing of UPC and anything Obote is of less significance to the NRM. Number, at the end of the day is what counts. With NRM's support welling up from erstwhile barren but dry parts of the country, the two fingers to Buganda is a spat on the face of their war effort and buttering the NRM bread. Buganda was slow to demand that they wanted for their effort. Worse still, Buganda did not rally other country round to support its request.  The Acholi saying that if you want to clean dog's shit, better do it when it is still hot, did not come to mind. What now for Buganda, that NRM has decided to go to bed with UPC? Will Buganda open another Luwero front?

Buganda in my opinion, should not open another Luwero triangle, it is still in a strong position. Strong in that it has one great option. The ability to reach out. This is what i have been calling for sometime now but falling on deaf ears. Whether Buganda has the will, is another thing. But it has the federal juggernaut that is open to all. A window of opportunity for Buganda to join the rest of the country and collectively but in one voice demand for a change of, system of governance. Single handed, Buganda was bound to loose to a leader who does not keep promises. And this would not be for the first time.

Buganda should embrace the rest of the country and quit their self imposed isolationism because federalism is not isolationism or cessation.
