From the previous war experiences in Uganda, we learn that exploitation can turn some people into loaded weapons, and the time pull the trigger. Constant poverty and prolonged oppression drive some people into acts of aggression and terrorism, as the previous Luweero war experience has shown us. Deprivation can be an explanation for bad behavior - some NRA commanders who fought in Luweero, were very poor and deprived, but are now billionaires e.g Gen. Salim Saleh, was a very poor man, but now is a multi-billionaire, despite having lost no child or property in that war which brought them to power in January 1986.
These people came to grab. Even Rwakitura was grabbed from the public. It had a government run institute with very many heads of cattle. They never left the place and have produced a heard for the President over the years. Museveni cannot claim that he bought those lands from the 1966 Government of Uganda which had arbitrary deprived several persons and groups of their estates without their informed consent and adequate compensation prior to the taking possession of their real properties. Even the registered lands on Kamukuzi Hill, in Mbrarara, Ankole where Mugaba palace or business headquarters of Ankole kingdom were established by Omugabe Kahaya II, were fraudulently transferred and placed under the Uganda Land Commission created in 1967 by the Obote I Gov't, which is something that forced several young Banyankole people including some young graduates to join the fighting, so as to restore back their infringed cultural and property rights.
Truth: triumpant war lord Museveni initially grabbed Rwakitura but like Mukasa Muruli who has grabbed 2000ha in Bunyoro and has land titles from Migereko's ministry of lands, Museveni must now be having a land title for Rwakitura.
