The MP lost in the polls.
The parents have been struggling to buy cement and iron sheets to construct a classroom block.
The school was established seven years ago.
When Mr Peter Eriaku donated 65 bags of cement and 70 iron sheets, the parents thought their dilemma had stopped only to be shocked when the legislator turned up to pick the materials. He donated the materials during the period when NRM supporters were canvassing votes to be voted to be voted as official candidates for the ruling NRM in the upcoming elections.
Mr Charles Okello, one of the members on the school construction committee told Daily Monitor that, upon several pleas from the parents in Angaro village, the area MP heeded to the plight of the over 700 children studying under Mango trees.
"Surprisingly, last week, the area legislator drove in packed the materials he had delivered," Mr Okello said.
Mr Okello said that the MP accused the people of Obalanga of betraying his generosity by not voting him.
Hon Peter Eriaku said that he had agreed with the community that he funds the construction of the block to a certain level and that parents would fund additional construction.
"I believe the other aspiring candidates can also take over from where I stopped," he said.
Asked why he took such a move, Mr Eriaku said he needed to clear some political debts in other areas in the constituency.
According to the area district councillor, Mr Stephen Ebaju Epenu Obalanga has several community schools that are in a sorry state.
