{UAH} Response to WBK: Bar passage

WBK,
actually, California has the hardest and most comprehensive bar exam.  That is partly why California does not allow reciprocity...lawyers from other states cannot be exempted from the exam (except for in-house lawyers).
And the pass rates in NY are always higher than California....

But that percentage is still much higher  than candidates who sit for the CFA especially level 1.

If so many failed in California what about the famed or notorious New York Bar? So what in your view is the problem?

Is getting into law school too essay, but passing the bar is much harder? Is it poor preparation?   It sounds like the numbers from Uganda's LDC. In other words, GIGO.

Subject: {UAH} 48.6% of the test takers failed California's Bar Exam in 2015.

In a dip that hasn't been seen since the 1980s, the State Bar's Committee of Bar Examiners reported last month that 46.6 percent of test takers passed the July bar exam.
According to the committee, just 3,882 of the 8,323 applicants who took the bar exam passed, down from 48.6 percent of test takers who took last year's July exam and 55.8 percent the year before. The last time the pass rate was lower for an equivalent exam was in 1986, when 44.4 percent of test takers passed.
