Two most recent national elections involving power transfers could  well be the foundations for irreversible transformations in governance in Africa. In both, the new leaders entered their new offices as tho with ravaging and merciless vengeance aimed at instantly overturning the staus quo. Buhari and Magufuli appear to have well-laid and rehearsed  planned priority targets to hit with outright layoffs of top management - to kill a deadly snake, chop off its head first.

At least for Buhari, he seems to have developed a list of them before occupying office. For Magulufi its all about "surprise attacks". Man is inaugurated, drives by the first public entity and with an agenda which could have been aimed at thanking the voters only finds himself confronted by a sick hospital seemingly taking care of sick people. That alone triggered the chain reaction that continues to this hour.

Should our Uganda go thru a similar fate we should expect the new pacesetter to attempt to outdo Buhari and Magufuli - in his own ways. However, as visible facts on the ground indicate, this is not going to happen in Uganda any soon as we are expecting the same thieves to dig in their tap-roots deeper into rare underground waters that the peasant cant reach.

"But this I know, UPC believed and still believes in
very high education. We can call Obote all bad names we have, but the bottom line remains that he got more scholarships for Buganda than all previous Uganda leaders combined. That includes Sir Edward Mutesa, President Lule, President Binayisa, up to and into Ssabasajja Mutebi. Who all happen to be Baganda leaders." Mulindwa
