Pastor Paseka Motsoeneng, popularly known as Pastor Mboro, has lashed out at the organizers of the SA Men of the Year Awards for "unfair treatment."
Pastor Mboro was nominated in the man of the year and community developer categories, won respectively by Bishop Nhlanhla Nhlapo and Eric Mkhonza at an event held at Emperors Palace, east of Johannesburg on Monday, Sowetan reported on Thursday.
Mboro was offended after organisers of the event referred to him by his birth name, Paseka Motsoeneng, on the newspaper advertisements promoting the awards.
"People know me as Mboro, not as Paseka. They promised to fix the error but they never did," said a fuming Mboro.
According to Sowetan, an angry Mboro wants to sue the organisers of the event and also demands an apology.
Accompanied by his group of supporters, Pastor Mboro caused a stir when he stormed the awards.
The awards chairman and chief director at the Department of Social Development, Bongani Ngomane, told the paper that no apology will be forthcoming.
very high education. We can call Obote all bad names we have, but the bottom line remains that he got more scholarships for Buganda than all previous Uganda leaders combined. That includes Sir Edward Mutesa, President Lule, President Binayisa, up to and into Ssabasajja Mutebi. Who all happen to be Baganda leaders." Mulindwa
