In the name of the Risen Lord, greetings! Lent is over and we've now moved into Easter. Alleluia! I'd like to thank you for joining me and nearly 300,000 other pilgrims as we journeyed through the Lenten season. Now that we've finished, many of you have asked, what's next? How do I maintain the spiritual momentum I developed during Lent? I'd like to suggest a couple practical tips: First, be sure to visit our website, WordOnFire.org, on a regular basis. Every day we share new articles, videos, blog posts, and homilies to help strengthen your faith and evangelize the culture. The best part is that all of it is free! Second, the best way to carry on your Lenten progress is to commit to one spiritual practice right now. For instance, read through the one of the Gospels, one chapter per day. Or once a week, spend some time with the Blessed Sacrament. Or decide to attend one extra Mass each week. Or pray one rosary each day, maybe in your car or while you exercise. All of these are simple, straightforward ways to deepen your spiritual life. Thank you again from all of us at Word on Fire, and God bless you during this Easter season! Peace, Bishop Robert Barron |
