Coltan - the notorious conflict mineral from which these two metals are derived -
still being smuggled from DR Congo into Rwanda.
The programme asserts nearly 50% of Rwanda's mineral exports are contraband minerals smuggled from the DR Congo.
Global Witness has consistently maintained that both the governments of Rwanda as well as Uganda have been plundering the mineral and other natural resources of the DR Congo with total impunity.
