{UAH} President Museveni: Do we have enough water in Lake Victoria

If you examine the two pictures - you will realise that Lake Victoria is almost dead! One picture which I took in Entebbe at former Kiggundu's hotel is it Karim who owns it now - you can clearly see dead matter from the Lake bottom floating on the surface of the water.

Between 1978 and 79 I was living in Entebbe. I can't remember seeing anything like that! What is floating is food for fish but due to lack of oxygen is dead matter.

NEMA has a regulation you are well aware of the 100 meters away from the Lake but I hasten to inform you that all around this lake people are building, have built , excavating sand, washing bays, empting sewer into the lake that has lead to less than 30's of what we see now – what happens in the next fifteen years?

Are laws working or people are simply above them?

Uganda has no water since every wetland , river or stream is now at danger of being encroached on. And the forests cleaning the water are almost gone in western Uganda, central Uganda and beyond!
