{UAH} President Museveni - Urban Issues, Enviornment, Economy and Housing

President Museveni

I have attached two pictures you ministers can examine for their own wellbeing in one of their ministrial gatherings.

You have been around the country – you have seen and know more than what I do.  In the attached pictures are the daily lives of the Uganda Africa both in villages and towns.

Life in Africa is precarious.

Keeping oneself arrive into such an environment is not only a daily struggle  but is almost an impossibility. People live on the margins – it is terrible!

I have suggested Uganda Ministry of Lands Housing and Urban Development expedite upgrading all the former 14 municipalities – start building houses for the people and direct them to move in there. Africans who leave Africa villages for Europe they settle in just in a matter of weeks into the first world it can also be done here.

The mathematics

Let every urban dweller pay 200000 ug shs per year for a period of 25 years and let them own a decent organised dwelling. That sum will be 50 million in 25 years per house which is very possible to have in Uganda if houses are built enmass in all the 14 municipalities.

But this too is good for the economy if you have high population concetraton you hhave economies of scale. Milk from Mbarara is drunk by the people in Kampala a logic beind concetric organised communities.

Secondarily to stop reckless deforestation, we have to stop using exclusively firewood and charcoal. Uganda is visibly getting hot – this is not good. It is raining now but that is the logic of radical climate transformation.
