Below is a Sumary of a Text used to teach GCSE History to secondary
school students in England and Wales. I hope it gives you an Idiot's
Guide to what the KKK is all about. Contrary to what you and your
obscurantist author claimed in an article you posted yesterday, the
KKK had absolutely nothing to do with Christianity, and even less so
with Islam.
Who were the KKK and what did they do?
The Ku Klux Klan was a racist group established by people who believed
that white people were better and wanted to see black people remaining
slaves. It began in the southern states at the end of the American
Civil War in 1865.
The movement was revived in 1915 by William J Simmons. It grew quickly
and by 1921 it had over 100,000 members. By the mid 1920s the movement
was at its strongest with 5 million members.
Only WASPs could join the Klan.
The KKK discriminated against black people, Roman Catholics, Jews and Mexicans.
Members of the Klan often killed black people by hanging without trial
(lynching) – Rope Law.
Mr Semuwamba, plese don't make indefensible and totally insensitive
statements that distort a very painful aspect of black history.
Sometimes the local police could not protect the victims and even took
part in the killings.
Those responsible were not brought to justice very often, and Klan
members knew that their friends in the courts would not find them
guilty.
It was difficult for the government to change the attitudes of the
whites in the south - and politicians were scared of losing votes.
In 1925 David Stephenson, the Klan Indiana Grand Dragon, was found
guilty of causing serious injuries to a woman on a train in Chicago.
The membership of the Klan fell by 1928 - by then its membership had
fallen to a few hundred thousand members.
Mr Semuwamba, plese don't make indefensible and totally insensitive
statements that distort a very painful aspect of black history. It is
completely beneath you to make the sort of silly statements that the
Nubian mental midget Edward Mrtlunda is notorious for.
The KKK Lynched 3,446 Blacks in 86 Years- this is a very bloody and
despicable record, but how many people has ISIS murdered this year
alone? I am trying to work out the figures, but I think it is in the
excess of 17,000 innocent people in a mere four months, and a majority
of them deperately poor muslims.
Please remove the cobwebs from your mind and the cataracts from your
eyes and face reality squarely in the face. Islamic Terrorism is an
evil cancer, and the most dangerous threat to human civilisation
today.
We are here not engaging in a debate about a "balance of terror". It
is true that some so-called "Christian organisations" have engaged in
wanton murder of innocent people, but I belive you completely fail to
distinguish between CRIMINALITY AND ANARCHISM,both products of
capitalist aleination, and TERRORISM motivated and driven by religious
dogma. On this I will write seperately.
