SV: {UAH} I always felt sorry for Obote and now i am sure
ATUHAIRWE,
FIRST, I think the late OBOTE was brought down by his own officials those you are today seeing them inside the office of M7 and his NRA/M regime. They are countless and they participated in sabotaging the good policies of the government of OBOTE, even the death of Oyite Ojok and his fellow officers were parts of those sabotage. May their Souls Rest In Eternal Peace – AMEN!
SECOND, I hope we shall agree to disagree that might be from the world of Uganda where you come from political leaders such as the President does not shed tears on death of his military officers. YES, I know where the late OBOTE comes even Presidents, cried and shed tears on hearing about the death of fellow human beings those happens to be his military officers on humanism bases.

Robert,
1. "What was meant for his father" that Akena will reclaim from NRM?
2. Don't underestimate George Okello's role in keeping Obote in power. Thanks to him, the Okellos were relatively kept in check. Hadn't DOO perished early, he might have followed George's Elimination Theorem.

Apparently, men he believed in like Muwanga and even 'holy' Tito celebrated the demise yet almost everybody knew that Oyite was the bulwark of the second UPC regime. In short, Obote only had one man to rely on for his survival. What were the rest doing around him?

Did they have to be told that if your enemy is armed, you need to be better armed and before you take on the enemy, stitch up your location first? And how come he never took for himself any form of training in defence and security matters, for example?
