SV: {UAH} Museveni blasts Europeans over arrogancy
Hi Ruwanga jange,
How can one start breaking the very pot which he cooks food with?
Hi BARIGYE, how can M7 now start blashing the Europeans when he is at the same time asking them to give him MONEY?
Truly, if he can't keep his military (troops) in Somalia why does he not bring them home? Again, I think Ugandans want their children back home even those who are there only on records!

Museveni Blasts Europeans over Arrogance
President Museveni has said that Europeans' approach towards Africa is informed by "condescension and arrogance."
In an a recent interview with Spiegel, one of the most widely read German-language Newspaper, Museveni wondered whether money that European Union was spending on Somalia terror war is more important than soldiers which African countries have contributed.
"If the Europeans believe they can afford to be less committed in Somalia, please — we can deal with it ourselves," Museveni said responding to whether Europe understands the emerging risks in Africa after cutting its funding of African Union troops in Somalia by 20 percent.
He further noted; "For years, we have been putting the lives of our troops on the line, we have taken huge losses and the Europeans cut the budget? If money is more important than the lives of our children, what else is this than the usual arrogance and superficiality?" wondered Museveni.
Museveni noted that terrorism which has beleaguered the World is a result of mistakes the West committed in Pakistan and Afghanistan in the 1980s, when they armed the Islamic rebels against the Soviet troops."
He repeated his stance on International Criminal Court when asked about Africa's opposition on its activities.
"I was one of the first to sign the Rome Statute, which established the International Criminal Court (ICC). I was against impunity when it comes to human rights violations. But many of us African leaders now want to leave the Rome Statute as soon as possible because of this Western arrogance," he said.
