{UAH} Banyoro-Kitara legacies bestowed on Buganda

Dear All

As stated a million times in this forum history is a required subject for all man-kind. Hence the historical events performed by Banyoro over he centries have remained intact over the years.

Since what is happening today is a result of what took place yestrday, and what will happen tomorrow will be a result of today's happening, suffice then to remnd ourselves our indelible history.

We begin with what Banyoro legacies have made their indelible mark on Buganda.
1. Kato-Kimera,twin brother of  Rukidi Mpuuga Isingoma, first Mubiito king of Bunyoro-Kitara,, founded the Babiito dynasity of Buganda when he became he first Mubiito king of Buganda. Hence the begining of the title Kabaka.
Also Kato-Kimera used the drum MUJAGUZOto announce his arrival in Muhwahwa(Buganda). That drum, with a snakeengraved on it, is today still the symbol of initiation of the new monachies in Buganda.
2..Omucwezi Wamara dug the lake Baganda call WAMALA. Baganda kings copied what Omucwezi Wamara did and they also dug KABAKA'S LAKE near Mengo.. Baganda distorted the name and changed it to Wamala from WAMARA.
3. NYAKAHUMA TREE AT MUBENDE HILLOmucwezi king Ndahura planted the royal tree at Mubende Hill which was the coronation site by Bunyoro-Kitara kings. It still performs that cultural function. Only its not give the publicity it used top get in the past.
4.AMASAZA the administrative areas which theBacwezi used to rule the kingdom have been copies by Buganda, as they are still being used in Bunyoro-Kitara and else where.
