{UAH} Gen Sejusa Aides Convicted; Face Death Penalty

Makindye General Court Martial chaired by Lt Gen Andrew Gutti has convicted Gen David Sejusa's former aides of treachery and aiding and abetting treachery, Chimp Corps report.

The conviction attracts a death penalty should the six offenders fail to appeal the judgement.

Lance corporal Grace Nasasira Rwakyoozi and Lance Corporal Geoffrey Karuhanga who were attached to Special Forces Command's Task Force Battalion and Two Tank Battallion, were charged with treachery.

On the other hand, Private Frank Ninsiima (Sejusa office aide), James Nayebare, Abel Twinamatsiko and Moses Nuwagaba unsuccessfully battled charges of aiding and abetting treachery.

Lt Gen Gutti today ruled that prosecution produced 7 witnesses who have proved all the grounds required beyond reasonable doubt to secure conviction for the accused.
