{UAH} Minister Amongi was set-up by Museveni, says Besigye

Former Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) presidential candidate, Kizza Besigye has alleged that appointment of Oyam County South MP Betty Amongi as Minister of Lands, Housing and Urban Development by Yoweri Museveni in his cabinet is a set up.
Amongi has of recent been at the centre of the media reports for over a controversial proposal which gives government powers to takeover private land before negotiating with the owner.
According to Amongi, this will help reduce on the bureaucracy involved in governmet acquiring land which in turn will lead to swift development as land projects will be started and finished in time.
But this according to Besigye is a set for the Uganda People's Congress (UPC) party member and wife to Lira Municipality MP Jimmy Akena as it makes her unpopular among Ugandans especially her supporters.
"Minister Amongi doesn't seem to realize that she was set up, by putting her in charge of land grabbing," said Besigye.
Amongi replaced Aidah Nantaba who had become unpopular for fighting land grabbers in the country specially Kayunga District where she hails from.
Besigye reiterated that: "The monstrous plans for massive land-grabbing by government which is underway will only cause chaos in our country if it's not handled well. Our land, our life."
