{UAH} WHY KIPROTICH LOST AT THE RIO 2016

Uganda's gold champion at the London Marathon 2012, Kiprotich came 14th at the just concluded Rio 2016 Marathon.  Another participant, Kiprop dropped out before finishing while Mutai came eighth.  The poor performance is due to a number of factors but majorly their concentration was distracted by the vast open space along the route in the city of RioDeJaneiro. As they strolled through the marvelous street roads and beautiful vast parks, the Ugandan marathon runners kept wondering why the President of Brazil has not given that land to investors. 

In Uganda, Museveni has been giving such land to the so called investors for development in his designs to grab public land. That is why Kiprop had to abandon the race so that he could take a rest in the beautiful
park which he could never get back at home in slum-infested Kampala.
