{UAH} How Gov't killed the housing sector

1. With no national commercial bank - interest rates went through the roof making money on money - Uganda is free for all

There is no one in this country even the highest class thieves can build a house at 24 -28% mortgage facility!

 

2. When you have land it meant you could become a land lord by dividing your kibanjja into smaller plots and create your own estate - without basic infrastructure design. Without the basic infrastructure like public transport estate have become terribly expensive.

3. Gov't donate to Libya the National Housing Construction Corporation implying government works and boda class will take more than 1 decades to build a house thus the terrible lack of standards in the sector.
