OVER 80 LANGUISHING HELPLESSLY OVER FLOWER FUMIGATION CHEMICALS. Over 82 flower factory employees of Royal van zantene at Nkonya in Wakiso are languishing at First care medical center Bulenga over unknown disease alleged to be due to breathed in centum sodium chemicals. These employees claim that they were forced to enter fumigated rooms before the 6hrs recommendable time for the chemicals to calm down. Vomiting employees say that despite them outcrying to the authorities, nothing has been done and they claim that in the course of this week, chemists fumigated workers were forced in the fumigated rooms when chemicals were still active and whoever entered began developing complications. The angry workers further accuse labour officials for being corrupt because they visited the factory today morning but by 4Pm they were in closed meeting with company management without letting them what they are discussing apart from coming out briefly and told them that they were still having a birth day cake with some managers. They also accuse their human resource Sam Wambi for being behind the bosses to mistreat them and when Wambi saw media gadgets decided to take off using the behind door. Efforts to talk to the Dutch whites who are said to be the owners were rendered futile as the gate man informed salt media that has a directive not to open for any media. Labour officials who were said to be in the meeting with the factory was more hard to access as too were still inside the factory. They claim that even when taken to the hospital, they are not cared for even food and drinks are given to them in the hospital apart from being told to contact for their bosses who drop then in the hospital. They are not told what they suffer from apart from being given pain killers. When visited the first care medical center at Bulenga where we found a patients who complains if headache and stomachache with vomiting. The general secretary union floriculture employees in Uganda Nassali Jennifer confirms the claim and says that despite involving all authorities, these people haven't been helped. Efforts to speak to the hospital doctors were futile as the main doctor wasn't around and refused his employers to comment on the matter.
