The word "TANG" in Luo – Acoli language is quite hard to translate clearly into English word. The word "TANG" has many meanings in Luo – Acoli language.
First, "TANG" is adverb – omoko woko LITANG – means it is quite stuck and cannot move back or forward for example.
Second, "TANG" is pronoun – Pe mit – Not nice or nasty taste!
Third, "TANG" is noun – Wot atir anyim "TANG" onyo ngak tung acam onyo acuc – Branch on the left or right.
Lastly, so you can see the word "TANG" has many meaning.

The English say tangy in taste and the Acholi say tang so i wonder where the two words collided? Who borrowed from whom?.
