-- This Palestinian man is at pains to reclaim the phrase "Allahu Akbar" or God is Great. But it is one of those phrases which have now completely lost their original meaning, for eg, GAY, which used to mean 'happinness', ecstasy, sunshine etc, but today means something completely different.NIGGER MEANS DIFFERENT THINGS TO DIFFERENT PEOPLE. COOL means different things to young people. etc.
I think it is completely impossible for Muslims to reclaim the term "Alahu Akbar" because it is now so associated with bloodshed, barbarity and terror that, the original meaning of God Is great can never ever be reclaimed again, just like Gay can never be reclaimed because it now belongs to the homosexual fratenity.
