{UAH} Fare thee well our very much beloved Mathias Nsubuga!
Ugandans both at home and in the diaspora have learnt with
deep shock the death of Democratic Party's outstanding Secretary General
the pragmatic and principled Hon Mr Mathias Nsubuga. Indeed Nsubuga's
sudden death has filled with deep sorrow and consternation all minds of
peace-loving Ugandans. It's a real pity for Democratic Party to lose such an
exemplary member and political pillar who has all the time been very useful
to the party's President General and to the party on a whole and to the nation
at large. May the Good Lord in Heaven welcome his soul and grant him the very
necessary eternal rest in His Kingdom! And may He give all comfort and consolation to the bereaved in particular at this very trying hour!
Nsubuga's death is a call for a universal mourning in the country and its diaspora.
Practically all layers of our political society, friends and foes included, have thrown in a moment to mourn Nsubuga! To the Democratic Party it's a thorn in the heart of the party! This is the very exemplary DP official who has all along shown strong loyalty and commitment to the party in addition to being true and faithful to the party's leader to whom he has always been that very necessary presence sincerely appreciated by all members of the ancient and prestigious national party. Indeed the Democratic Party is losing an icon and an exemplary member whose stand for true brotherhood within party ranks must be an inspiration to many.! It's my humble wish to see that the next Secretary General of DP should be a person endowed with such good principles and qualities to help the party move forward as a single united entity surrounding its decicated leader who needs everyone to help DP regain its glory, a goal very dear to Hon Mr Norbert Mao and many DP supporters. Leadership is there, resolved and determined to move forward, and it needs every member's support and backing! DP is a political brotherhood and this is the card Nsubuga has played to become a model to look at. May the Good Lord reward him for this exemplary brotherly spirit from which many will continue to draw inspiration for the party's good ideals and for real national patriotism. If the DP is known as the
party that knows how to groom leaders, and has produced every leading politician in the country, Nsubuga's example is there to prove it. This is a person who has had a propensity for making his political profile great while remaining a down-to-earth individual. He has known how to invest in a political career his whole personality of a debater, an eminent Parliamentarian, a good administrator, and a respected in-law to the Buganda royalty. And he goes to his grave as a national hero and a highly esteemed statesman! And let this examplary political life help his party to continue pushing to greatness.Dr G.H. Kkolokolo ( Paris / France )
