Subject: Important Tube strike update
| Are our emails displaying well on your device? If not, allow images or view online | | | | | | | | | Dear Mr Okelld, Station staff who are union members are currently planning to strike from 18.00 this Sunday 8 January for 24 hours. If the strike action goes ahead, we expect Tube services to be severely reduced on Sunday evening and all day Monday 9 January. We will run as many services as possible, but most Zone 1 Tube stations will be closed and there would be no service on either the Victoria or Waterloo & City lines. We will run additional bus and river services, but buses, roads and rail services are expected to be much busier than usual, particularly those bus routes serving major interchange stations. | | | | | | | | Although National Rail services would not be affected by the strike, there would be no Tube services from key interchange stations. | | | | | | | | | Piccadilly line services will run between Hammersmith and Heathrow Terminals 1, 2 and 3, but will not serve Terminals 4 or 5. | | | | | | | DLR services and travel to Canary Wharf | | | There may be changes to services towards Bank and trains may terminate at Shadwell or Tower Gateway. DLR services will be running to Canary Wharf but will be busier than usual. River services will also link central London and Canary Wharf. | | | | | | | | | | Yours sincerely, | | Mark Wild Managing Director, London Underground | | | | | | | | | | | Copyright in the contents of this email and its attachments belongs to Transport for London.
