If you are a student of prophecy, change will not surprise you. For what has been foretold shall come to pass. 

If you are not, then become one.  I was surprised to learn that there were schools of prophecy in Israel since Samuel. However, these had deteriorated until Elijah restored them.

Prophecy has never been what we expect or know. It usually is like the opposite. 

And the lord commended the unjust steward (dishonest /unrighteous /shrewd, servant manager /rascal), because he had done wisely (with shrewdness): for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.
