Joash Sibakyalyawo Mayanja Nkanji born on 22nd, August 1932 in Masaka East Constituency. He went to Kabungo Primary School in Masaka, Kings College Buddo for his secondary Education. He later joined Makerere College where he graduated in 1953 with a Bachelors in Economics.

In 1954 Joash Mayanja Nkanji joined Britain's Oxford University for his Masters in Philosophy, Politics and Economics. He later In 1959 joined Lincolin's Inn for a Bar course in Law where he become a Certified Lawyer and a Barrister.

Joash Mayanja Nkanji is a former Katikiro Of Buganda who served during a period of Tyranny, Despotic and 1966 Kabaka Crisis which left him in a Testing moment of leadership to defend his Kingdom and the Kabaka. In 1962 he was Elected as a Member Of Parliament for Masaka East Constituency on a KY-Ticket, served in a number of Government portfolios as Minister For Commerce and Industry, Justice and Constitutional affairs minister, Finance Minister and Chairperson of Uganda Land Commission.

As a Veteran Politician at 85years he gone at a period where the Land Commission is fully of Corrupt personnel's, Buganda still demanding its Assets from the central government, Ugandans under a despotic regime which doesn't observe rule of Law and Constitutionalism and many others.

Lastly to my Friend Josephine Mayanja Nkanji i extend my Condolence to u and Wiston Mayanja aka Tshaka Mayanja.

May His Soul Rest In Eternal Peace.
